A few people have asked me about why I didn't post anything on the Oscars...
Short answer... I didn't watch them. Amy (my fiancee) was here and I had other, more important things to do than watch Hollywood pat itself on the back and honor a bunch of politically charged films that I didn't like.
But anyway. As for the winners, I was very happy that "Brokback Mountain" didn't win Best Picture, and I was glad that Narnia got something (even if it was just best makeup).
The only thing I missed was seeing Jon Stewart's monologue. I find him very funny... very witty, which is a quality many comics lack, and from what I have heard he was great.
So there you go. You can find a list of the winners (should you care) at IMDB.Com.
Maybe next year I will be excited again...

...but it is not the monologue.
I did a You Tube search on Jon Stewart and it came up.
Funny over all, I like his delivery and all that from The Daily Show... but I didn't think it was anything to write home about.
I liked it, I liked him, and I think he is a great choice. Steve Martin or Jon Stewart would be my choices, along with, of course, Mr. Crystal:)
My thoughts aproximately. Though I can't help wonder if perhaps one of these years they'd do well to have an MC who is NOT a comedian, but rather an artist of his voice... or of drama. But I suppose you need moments of lightness between the sappy thank-yous.
Still think Billy Crystal is the man for the job, generally. But Jon Stewart did a fine job and can EASILY grow into this.
