Nick and Nora Charles are characters in "The Thin Man" film series (and the even better novel). Nick is a smart former detective who married a wealthy heiress (Nora) and has subsequently left the detective profession to "look after Nora's money". Nora is the heiress, and is full of spunk. She is Nick's greatest asset, as Nick is her's. She is equal to him in intelligence and humor.
We both felt that our relationship was similar to that of Nick and Nora. We each dish it out, we each take it, and we love each other VERY much, and don't care who knows, we tend toward goofiness (who knew?!) and I could totally say "that's how we sign in at the hotels" when asked if she is my wife!
The hope for this blog is to be a bit of a "detective" on all sorts of subjects, from political, philisophical and moral subjects, to goings on around the house. We'll offer our opinions, comments and stories. And we hope to do so with humor and fun!
