Taking A Stand

Way to go.

I still think that Brokeback is another of those, "Elites will give it all the awards, but look at the box office..." type movies. It is doing okay for a small film, but it isn't a blockbuster. And now, as the above link references, theaters are pulling it. Another theater in Washington state pulled it as well. But... you never know.

This movie would lead you to believe that the gay lifestyle is just like the heterosexual one... people fall in love, they want to be together forever... Only those horrid religious and conservative types want to keep them from doing that!

In reality, though this may be true for some gay's, it is NOT the norm. The gay lifestyle is characterized by a focus on sensuality... most gay men have over 20 partners, "adultery" is the norm. Just go to the Gay Pride parade in New York, or visit Provincetown, MA, and you will see the dark, real side of the gay lifestyle.

So... don't be taken in by they "people will see this is just a love story, it doesn't matter that they are two men" line that the media hype has been pushing. This is about pushing the gay agenda.

The advertising campaign in the NYC area is pretty intense, too. I can't turn on the radio or TV without encountering an ad for this movie.

You should have gotten XM for Christmas! I'll speak to certain boys about it.

Ah, if only it were free. I hate the idea of one more monthly monetary commitment. They just keep adding up.
