Who Is Col. Henry Mucci?

For those who live in Southern CT, and drive on the 25/8 connector, you may be interested in the movie The Great Raid. Not only does it look like a winner (a Miramax release, a great review from Ebert, an exciting story that happens to be true) but... it is about someone who lived in Bridgeport (at least partly about him).

How often have you driven down the connector, and wondered "why is it named Col. Henry Mucci Highway?". Well, this movie gives you the answer.

Short story, he leads the raid that liberates 500 American soldiers from a POW camp before the Japanese can kill them as they retreat. Pretty cool huh?

So, check it out! It seems to be an old fashioned war movie, which is pissing off the liberal critics:D

I think that it would be a very interesting movie and I would love to see it sometime.
