Those who have been "up" on the news about "The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe" know that Brian Cox (X2, The Bourne movies) was to be the voice of Aslan, but was fired sometime in late April. Well, I just found the reason, which is kinda funny... Apparently he lost about 40 pounds, and it made his voice change so much that they didn't like it.
Imagine that... he gets healthy, and ends up losing work... sigh... maybe they will hire George Sarris, the best person to voice Aslan that I have heard:)

Why not post an audio file of him reading some Aslan dialogue?
I don't have anything of him reading Aslan, but at voicebank.net you can hear his voice in the house reel for Arcieri Talent. Or you can go to AudioCentral.com and hear him read the Bible in King James.
Nard, I am VERY disappointed. You told me you'd post a review of Star Wars Episode 3 on Wednesday night when you saw it. It is now Friday and no sign of anything. How very disconcerting. :-(
