Well... the Passion of the Christ won the Best Drama Motion Picture category at the People's Choice awards! This is good news for those hopeing for at least a nomination to the Academy Awards.
Of course, Farenheit 9/11 won Best Documentary, but... oh well. Moore can't win that at the Oscars cause he let it be shown on TV. He is trying for a win in Best Picture, but I think his chances are slim, especially if Million Dollar Baby is as good as they say:)
Other than that, I don't predict nominees, only winners, so you'll have to wait till Jan. 25th for any more Oscar talk!
Here is my Passion review, for those who care....

What? No report on Lemony Snicket?
For the record, F911 was a SIGNIFICANT film that was done very well. So it is not sad that it won the documentary section. The question is its accuracy, which is OK in some spots and severely lacking in others. Still, Michael Moore is the MASTER of the propoganda piece, and deserves the recognition.
I agree that F9/11 may be really well put together. However, I would contend that a major part of a documentary (and this applies to everything but satire and spoofs) is that the research and presentation be true. Moore, as you say, had some good and some bad (as most documentaries do, after all, they are only one persons thoughts on a subject with their supporting research) but his bad violates the same things that CBS is now fireing people for.
You can't fake a headline for your ends, which he did, a major problem. You shouldn't show only one side of something if the other side is there for you to find. You should always show both, and then try to answer the questions posed by the opposite. Moore did this in Bolwing for Columbine, even saying he set out with one thought, and ended with another.
With F9/11 he had an agenda and didn't really seek the truth in the situation, as is illustrated by the spate of other docs coming out opposing him.
I don't knock F9/11 as a bad film, but if he is going to pass it off as being the whole truth, he made a bad documentary. This is, as you say, propaganda, and as such is great.
But regardless, I don't think it should win best picture. There are to many other really good films out there this year.
