Ethanol Causing Food Shortages... I Told You So

I love it when I'm right, although I hate it in this case. I said for a long time that the increasing use of corn to make ethanol was driving up the price of food... and now we are seeing exactly that. And people are rioting.

I don't buy global warming. I do think we have other environmental problems that need to be taken care of. But whatever the reasons, the solutions should not be things that place a burden on people who are just trying to eat. It also shouldn't be to use food to fuel our transportation. There are other things we can do...
