Indiana in Vanity Fair

I love the Indiana Jones movies. All 3. I am looking forward to renting and seeing the Young Indiana Jones Chronicles.

And I am looking forward to this May when the next installment comes out!

Vanity Fair has an interesting look at the creators behind Indiana Jones, and a few spoilers on the movie (as well as pictures!).

Enjoy!

I could only stand that little kid in the Temple of Doom for about five minutes before shutting it off. That second film just didn't even feel right - it didn't feel like it fit in the aura of the other two movies. I've never bothered finishing it - I pretend it doesn't exist, since it is not a critical prerequisite to seeing the Last Crusade. I hope Number 4 is worth the time and hype.

When I saw Temple of Doom the first time, I was on the young side, and I thought it was way to dark. Never had a problem with the kid, but the whole taking the heart out and stuff was to much.

Raiders was very 1930's action adventure. Last Crusade was 1930's screwball comedy/action adventure. Doom was 1930's horror/comedy/action adventure. An odd mix, doesn't always work, but it has some of the funniest lines and sight gags in the series.

So... I enjoyed it for what it is. Word is that this one will be more like a 1950's sci-fi/action adventure movie:)
