Okay, so I was apparently "tagged" by my friendCarrie. The basic rules of tagging, which because it deals with the arts and music I am indulging, is that you answer the question, and then tag someone else. We shall see what happens...
Anyway, the question Carrie asked was... what are the 5 songs or peices of music that you are currently "loving" i.e. enjoying listening to. And they don't have to be good or anything.
Here goes...
1. As You Lead Me - Something Like Silas (from an old CD of theirs).
2. Your Like Coming Home - Lone Star (which will probably freak out some of my friends, but hey... I like it. Country pop. Okay, I am going soft. It's all the result of falling in love, so... bear with me;).
3. Let's Misbehave - Eartha Kitt (a Cole Porter song. Porter is my favorite song writer (secular). Eartha is just... funny and interesting. Got a chance to see her this year, and she is still Eartha... even though she is 78!).
4. Stars - Switchfoot (nice clean rock... and they happen to be Christians!).
5. Minstrel Boy - Joe Strummer and The Mescaleros (from the Black Hawk Down soundtrack... I was crying. Very moving).
6. The Nearness of You - Norah Jones (just my favorite love song:) Written by the great Hoagy Carmichael).
7. My Front Porch Looking In - Lone Star (Again, country pop, but just a neat different love song).
Okay, I know I only said 5, but I wanted to put in the last two:D
Some may say, "You like COUNTRY!!!??? HOW COULD YOU?!) Well... to be fair, Lone Star is really Rock/Pop with a country flavor. I don't know, I don't like true country, but some of it is cool. Don't worry, this to shall pass:D
Okay... consider yourself tagged if you are in the list below!
1. Jesse
2. Dan
3. Will (not me!)
4. Dagney
5. Amy
You may post on your blog like me (and Carrie before me) but let me know you did in the comments section. If you don't have a blog... just post in the comments... or get one!
