Well, the Star Wars Episode III trailer came out. I have to say, I think it looks awesome... but I am still wary. As I said to a sister... the Lucas black magic is working again... I must resist...my heart says this will be awesome, and my eyes confirm this with the breathtaking visuals that are in the trailer... but my mind says no, you have been burned twice, do not fall to the dark side...
I have to say, from the trailer, I think it will be like the others. The visuals and action look great, but the few lines Anakin has sounded like the last movie, and even S.L. Jacksons lines in the trailer sounded flat. The Emperor continues to be the best thing in the movies, and Ewan will do well. I just don't think this will be much more than another stunning but empty Star Wars movie.
Then again, I may just be being pessimistic. The story itself will lend a bit more wieght to the film...
Here's hoping...

My advice, don't go opening weekend. Wait and here the reviews. If it's good, go and support Lucas et al in their efforts. If it's flat, wait at least two weeks so that your money goes more to support the local theater than Lucas and company. That will also help in not making a flat movie a record breaker.
If you remember it is JUST A MOVIE and go looking to enjoy what Star Wars is -- swashbuckling action and universal themes with amazing special effects -- then you will see a great movie. If you are looking to see an orgasmic cinematic experience with the greatest story of all time... well... even Harrison Ford wouldn't meet those expectations.
